PUNK//BODY STUDIO

Privacy

What is counted, and what never is

No cookies, no ads, no profiles. The website and the app count a few anonymous things with PostHog to see what is used and what breaks. Here is all of it.

This website

  • Counted: page views (the address of the page and the site you came from), clicks on the Download buttons (which button), and in the user guide that the search was used, never what you searched for. Like any page view, it includes your browser's type and version, operating system, language, time zone and screen size.
  • No cookies, no storage: nothing is stored in your browser. Each page view is on its own, so visits are not linked to each other or to you.
  • First-party: the counting script is served from this site, and the counts go to this site's own address, which passes them on to PostHog without your cookies or your IP address. No location is looked up.
  • Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control: when your browser sends either, the counting script does not even load.

The app

  • Only if you say yes: the first time Punk//Body Studio starts, it asks once: "Help improve Punk//Body Studio by sending anonymous usage statistics?" Nothing is sent before you answer, and nothing if you say No.
  • Counted: that the app started (whether the game, WolvenKit and Phantom Liberty were found), how builds and exports went (how long, how many bodies of each kind, whether wardrobe refit and physics were on, and at which step a failed one stopped), the deploy check's counts, which features were used (once per session each), update checks, how many crash reports were sent or dismissed, and how long the app was open. Each comes with the app's version and the Windows version, under a random id made on your computer.
  • Never sent: your name, user or computer name, file paths, body, garment, mod or project names, slider values, anything you typed, screenshots, logs or files. Your IP address is not stored and no location is looked up.
  • Turn it off any time: File > Settings > Advanced > Send anonymous usage statistics. New id there replaces the random id.

The full list of every event and value is in the user guide's Privacy section. Crash reports and Send Feedback are separate: they are only ever sent when you press Send (or turn on automatic crash reports), and show you what goes out first.

Questions: in the app, Help > Send Feedback.
